Between you and me chummers, I rather make an effective rigger than one who's going to crash and burn like a go-gang that found some hot rods straight out of an Ares' depot. Despite reading a guide, I don't really know what to grab or go for in terms of skills qualities, and equipment. So, I know I need a RCC, drones, a van to operate out of, and probably a control rig if I plan on jumping into drones. TLDR: Grizzled dwarf street cop turned freelance construction and surveillance rigger. There he does a lot of mechanical fixing of maintenance via drones with the occasional surveillance for any buddies back in the blue that actually cared about him. Now he does freelance stuff on an absolutely massive space station where most of the plot has brought us so far. Why he's a rigger, is that he always wanted to do mechanical engineering work for Ares because hey shits cool. So, the character idea is this: "Mythril" is a former Wolverine Sec officer/detective turned rigger freelancer, after being let go due to eating a Ruger Super Warhawk APDS round through the chest from some trash tier decker who forgot to turn off his SIN. Thusly, I'm thinking of creating a rigger to augment the team assuming the GM allows me to try things out. In lue of my street sam not being the best at his job, and myself wanting to experience more of what Shadowrun has to offer than sitting in a van. "Watch your back, shoot straight, conserve ammo, and never, ever, cut a deal with a dragon." Sadly our nova hot community isn't the best place to discuss the mechanics discussion or troubleshooting the video games. Mostly the pen and paper role playing game, but also the deck building card game, video games, and literature of Shadowrun. Discussion is primarily aimed at exploring narratives found in the Sixth World. Here at /r/Shadowrun we talk shop about all things in the shadows.
